Above them are called five wonders in Alishan.
Well...Wong and I finally decided where to go just few days ago before new year's eve.
It's pretty ridiculous that we MUST go because of somebody sold railway tickets to us,lol
and we said OK without hesitation but found that almost hostel had no vacancy....👻

We took the early train from 台南(Tainan) to 嘉義(Chiayi), and transfer to the 阿里山森林鐵路(Alishan Forest Railway) for more info plz click the icon below(English version)
嘉義(Chiayi) to 奮起湖(Fenqihu)

Because of new year's eve celebration, you must pre-order this ticket about months ago.
(We just buy it from our schoolmate, so we don't know when did she get them,lol)

The Alishan Forest Railway was built in 1912, over a century ago.

This kinda railway is not only cute but rare, you will see many people taking a photo of it.

Just three rows of seats, very tiny but comfortable.
This train will climb up to the station(Fenqihu) which located half way up the mountain.
The railway line was severely damaged by rains associated with 2009's Typhoon Morakot and services are only running between Chiayi and Fenqihu since the typhoon occurred.
Lack of fund to fix the section between Alishan and Fenqihu or other reason... we can just take the train to Fenqihu now.💭

After lunch, We head to Alishan National Scenic Area by bus (台灣好行Alishan Route B1)

When we first arrived,we need to buy the ticket up to 祝山 Chu-Shan for tomorrow sunrise.
1000 tickets available. Can't pre-order so we stand in line for about 1 hour :x

@ 神木車站 Sacred Tree Station
We walked from Alishan Station to Sacred Tree Station after we got our tickets and it took us about 25mins(the time we got lost are included) You can also arrived here by train(from Alishan Station)
This place is absolutely worth visiting because it is like you're in the deep, foggy and mysterious forest, surrounding with sacred trees. And you can't miss the woody train station.Also,you can go to see the cherry blossom trees near here in the right season🌸.
@ It's 3:30am here! 對高岳觀景台 Dueigaoyue Observation Deck
We went to 祝山 Zhushan via Zhushan sunrise viewing trail(Climbing rock stairs)at 6pm.
Merge in the dark...But found that there's little fireflies in the woods, how nice 🌝!
Btw we meet another guys who was going to sleep there ,too.So we walked together.Less stress!

We decided to go to 小笠原觀景台 (Ogasawara Observation Deck) to wait for the sunrise, and it takes us about 20 mins(or less) to get there.The reason why we choose to stay at 小笠原觀景台 is that there's 360⁰ observation deck and we can also see the Jade Mt..(People usually wait the sunrise at Zhushan Observation Deck, so Ogasawara is a pretty good choice. )

After the sun came out, people started to move down.
Clear sky+Maple trees+Mountain=💯u must see this or die with regret
After that,We took the train down to Alishan Station (NTD$150/one way). Stay in Fenqihu(from Alishan to Fenqihu we chose to take van NTD$250/pp due to the cancellation of bus route B1) for a little while, Wong n i took the same train back to Chaiyi City.

Where we grabbed sth to eat😜I loveeeeee this place and it takes 20 mins(or less)to walk here from railway station.The food here are quite different from food in Tainan's Night Market...more variety and a little bit cheaper.Must try the Kuo Chicken rice (Need to wait in line for a long time but it's worthy)💁We didn't stay here for a long time,Wong had a unfinished report and needed to send out before midnight,lol.But we'll definitely come back next time.
